This is the second visit of German delegation to the North-Western state medical university named after I.I.Mechnikov. Previous year, Otari Khurtsilava, rector of NWSMU n.a. I.I. Mechnikov and Helmut Hahn, professor, president of the «Koch- Mechnikov» forum signed an agreement on academic collaboration in the field of research and educational activities. Currently, the forum president and the members of the project are working to expand the general agreement by preparing additional agreement.
 
The members of German delegation within the lecture for master’s programme students prepared presentations on various themes. Timo Ulrichs, professor, vice-president of the «Koch- Mechnikov» forum, representing Akkon University for Human Sciences, shared the results of a scientific vision on tuberculosis. Marlies Höck, the head of the department of preventive programs of Ministry of Health of Germany considered questions on epidemiology of nosocomial infections.  Alexander Kramer, PhD from the University of Bielefeld made ​​a presentation «Human health in metropolis ". Johann Pröpster discussed the topic on employee responsibility for workers health. Klaus-Peter Hellriegel presented a paper on cancer registration.
The lecture was attended by master’s programme students and academic staff. Lecture was multilingual and hold in Russian, English and German language. After having a living discussion on different topics: health care system in Germany during migrants flow, decision-making as for incurable tuberculosis cases, and demand for the masters of Public Health in Germany.
 
On September 11, was held a meeting of educational and methodical association of the enlarged group of professions, specialties and areas of training 32.00.00 "Health Sciences and Preventive Medicine» with German delegation and Rector of NWSMU Otari G. Khurtsilava, the chairman of the special association of the education specialists.
 
Alexander V. Meltser, vice-rector of preventive medical direction, prepared a presentation considering analysis of correlation between professional educational standard and federal state education standard. Svyatoslav L. Plavinskiy, chief academic officer, considered legislative provision of master’s programme realization in Russian Federation. Timo Ulrichs talked about  preventive medicine specialists training in Germany. Professor Alexander Krämer dedicated his presentation to the Public Health training on the example of Bielefeld University. After the presentation, the parties discussed the ways of further collaboration, the details of the preparation of the agreement, which will allow our University master's programmes to find partners not only in Norway but also in Germany.
