On December the 1st it was conducted the teleconference dedicated to the memories of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki together with the Nagasaki University and Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims.

The unique and outstanding event attracted the numerous participants among who were the University administration, students and postgraduate students of the preventive medicine department, pupils from the school N83 with in-depth study of the Japanese language, acting director of the Japan center in St. Petersburg.

Mr. Tagawa –eyewitness of the Nagasaki bombing at the age of 12-shared his memories of that terrible event forever changed his life and the lives of hundreds of thousands of other families. The emotional story of Mr. Tagawa aroused genuine interest among the audience and lively discussion.

Such events make an invaluable contribution to the development of cooperation, strengthening of cultural and public relations between our countries. Undoubtedly, such meetings are given special importance also at the state level: 2018 is the Year of Russia in Japan and the Year of Japan in Russia.
