Students of NWSMU named after I.I. Mechnikov presented their researches at the prestigious International Conference on the Social Aspects of Digitalization
The large-scale international conference was held on April 16-17, 2026 and was devoted to "Social Aspects of Regional Development in the Context of Digitalization of the Economy and Society"
The event brought together leading scientific and educational institutions of Russia and Belarus: the Department of Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Regional Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Center for Creative Industries of Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, the North-West Institute of Management of RANEPA under the President of the Russian Federation, the Republican Scientific Unitary Enterprise "Institute of Systems Research in Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus", as well as Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov.
Students of NWSMU named after I.I. Mechnikov actively participated in the section "Young scientists: Modern Problems of Regional Socio-Economic Development", that was held within the framework of the scientific event.

Young researchers made presentations on the Digital Transformation of Healthcare in Russia and India, Promising Digital Technologies and Electronic Services improving the Quality and Accessibility of Healthcare.
The students were prepared for the event by the teachers of the Department of Medical Informatics and Physics. The best reports were prepared under the guidance of Associate Professors: Zinaida I. Abdulayeva and Dinara F. Kurbanbayeva. The general management of all the scientific work of the students at the conference was provided by Professor Alexey D. Shmatko. Director of the Center for International Education, Natalia G. Koroleva actively supported foreign students.

In total, from NWSMU named after I.I. Mechnikov, the conference was attended by 15 students from India, 2 from Azerbaijan, 3 from Estonia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, 11 from Russia.
Participation in such a representative forum was an important stage in the development of scientific and international activities of our University and confirmed the high level of training of foreign and Russian students, their ability to conduct research at the interface of Medicine, Economics and Digital Technologies.
